Seventh Star Studios is proud to announce Bishop Stevens as the warrior Khalid in the TV Pilot Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart!
Bishop will portray Khalid, a warrior from the lands of the Kartagen Empire who has adventured farther to the north and east, eventually finding himself in a mercenary band led by the heroine Rayden Valkyrie. The hunt of a group of brigands, who have taken a number of captives, takes Khalid on a journey unlike any other he has ever faced.
The world Khalid inhabits is featured in Stephen Zimmer’s sword and sorcery novel Heart of a Lion. The story in the TV pilot is not an adaptation of the novel, but rather an original storyline envisioned to be the foundation for a series of episodes filled with the adventures of Rayden’s war band.
“Bishop brings great presence onto the screen,” Director/Screenwriter Stephen Zimmer said. “In addition to his great talent as an actor and ability to carry out fight scenes and stunts, he has a tremendous work ethic that drives him to deliver the best performance possible. Bishop is a fantastic addition to our ensemble cast and I’m very happy to have him aboard with us!”
Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart is scheduled for production late spring on locations in Kentucky and represents the first visual media project for Seventh Star Studios, a division of Seventh Star Press, a publisher of speculative fiction based out of Lexington, Kentucky.
