Seventh Star Studios is proud to announce Adam Atherton as Janislav in the TV Pilot Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart!
Adam will portray Janislav, a wealthy man who is part of a larger group of captives swept up by brigands intent on selling them into slavery. When a mercenary band led by the heroine Rayden Valkyrie catches up to the brigands, the freedom of Janislav and the others hangs in the balance.
The world Janislav inhabits is featured in Stephen Zimmer’s sword and sorcery novel Heart of a Lion. The story in the TV pilot is not an adaptation of the novel, but rather an original storyline envisioned to be the foundation for a series of episodes filled with the adventures of Rayden’s war band.
“Adam is the kind of actor who can do all kinds of roles,” Director/Screenwriter Stephen Zimmer said. “From his look, to his delivery, to his ability to do stunts and fight scenes, Adam has the skills to portray many kinds of characters. We are thrilled to have Adam aboard with us in our ensemble cast!”
Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart is scheduled for production late spring on locations in Kentucky and represents the first visual media project for Seventh Star Studios, a division of Seventh Star Press, a publisher of speculative fiction based out of Lexington, Kentucky.
About Adam: Performing has always been an interest and passion of Adam Atherton.
He began performing at the age of 7 and has continued working with creative arts throughout various points in his life.
Adam partook in theatrical courses that were offered for 12 weeks during the summer months for 4 consecutive years (ages 9-12). He then performed at various levels of stage plays throughout middle and high school, but his education and practice of performing came when he began wrestling and was signed by Vince McMahon and the WWE. From there Adam was able to hone his craft and really immerse into the art of storytelling.
After WWE, he took several years off to be a supportive and loving father to two little girls. He has picked up acting again, and since last fall have acted in numerous films and have several more lined up over the next year.
