Seventh Star Studios Announces Katie Stewart for Role of Gudrun in Rayden Valkyrie TV Pilot!

Seventh Star Studios is proud to announce Katie Stewart as the warrior Gudrun in the TV Pilot Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart!

Katie will portray Gudrun, a deadly warrior from distant northern lands whose adventures with several companions took them far south, where they became part of a mercenary company led by the heroine Rayden Valkyrie. Their hunt of a band of brigand slavers who have taken a number of captives takes the group on a perilous journey; one that will need Gudrun’s lethal skills and stealth just to survive.

The world Gudrun inhabits is featured in Stephen Zimmer’s sword and sorcery novel Heart of a Lion. The story in the TV pilot is not an adaptation of the novel, but rather an original storyline envisioned to be the foundation for a series of episodes filled with the adventures of Rayden’s war band.

“Katie is an exceptional talent,” Director/Screenwriter Stephen Zimmer said. “She has the kind of range where she can deliver strong performances in all kinds of roles, ranging from dramas, to thrillers, to various genres like science fiction and fantasy. Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart is scheduled for production late spring on locations in Kentucky and represents the first visual media project for Seventh Star Studios, a division of Seventh Star Press, a publisher of speculative fiction based out of Lexington, Kentucky.

About Katie: Katie Stewart is an award-winning actress based out of Louisville, Kentucky. Known for her ability to deliver strong dramatic performances, action sequences, and stunts, Katie’s credits include a range of feature films, short films, and commercial work. She appeared as a hostess on the SyFy Channel’s Spooked TV. Her film credits include Revelation Trail, Intrusion, Overtime, The Wicked One, Thanatophobia, Strenuous, Loss Prevention, Hazard, and many more.

Katie is a popular guest at major conventions such as FandomFest, ScareFest, Fright Night, and a number of others. She has also undergone weapons and fight training with a number of trained individuals, and most recently has been studying under fight choreographer/stunt man Dale Miller. Katie is currently represented by the Helen Wells Agency.

When she is not on set, Katie enjoys riding horses, the outdoors, animals, and spending time with her two beautiful daughters, family and amazing friends!

Seventh Star Studios Announces Zoquera Milburn for Role of Gavrila in Rayden Valkyrie TV Pilot!

Seventh Star Studios is proud to announce Zoquera Milburn as the witch Gavrila in the TV Pilot Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart!

Zoquera will portray Gavrila, a powerful witch who lives deep within an ancient forest, along with her sister and fellow witch Liana. Gavrila is a fearsome adversary, often underestimated by those who seek her out.  Rayden Valkyrie and her companions face many great challenges on their journey; and the deadliest ones sometimes come in the guise of beauty.

The world Gavrila inhabits is featured in Stephen Zimmer’s sword and sorcery novel Heart of a Lion. The story in the TV pilot is not an adaptation of the novel, but rather an original storyline envisioned to be the foundation for a series of episodes filled with the adventures of Rayden’s war band.

About Zoquera: Zoquera is a Chicago based actress who was born and bred in Texas. She moved out to Chicago in the fall of 2013, to pursue her passion of performance and to live in her favorite city in America. She received her BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Houston where she graduated in May of 2013. A piece of her heart will always be in Fort Worth, her home town, but when she visited Chicago for the first time in 2007 she fell in love and decided she wanted to live there when she grew up. So in August, with no friends or family in the entire state of Illinois, she moved there to start her new life! Every second of the adventure has been wonderful and she is so happy and blessed to be there!

Seventh Star Studios Announces Ray Rehberg for Role of Boris in Rayden Valkyrie TV Pilot

Seventh Star Studios is proud to announce Ray Rehberg as the nobleman Boris in the TV Pilot Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart!

Ray will portray Boris, a nobleman whose family is part of a group that hires mercenaries led by the warrior Rayden Valkyrie to free him and several others taken captive by brigand slavers. His fate depends on the outcome of the battle, when the mercenaries finally catch up with the slavers; though that may only be the start of a larger journey.

The world Boris inhabits is featured in Stephen Zimmer’s sword and sorcery novel Heart of a Lion. The story in the TV pilot is not an adaptation of the novel, but rather an original storyline envisioned to be the foundation for a series of episodes filled with the adventures of Rayden’s war band.

“Ray is definitely an actor to keep an eye on,” Director/Screenwriter Stephen Zimmer said. “He’s got great range and energy. He is the caliber of talent that a director strongly looks forward to working with. He really embraced the part of Boris from his first audition, and I know that he will deliver a great performance onscreen. I am very excited that Ray is a member of our cast!”

 

About Ray: Ray Rehberg is a Chicago-based actor and musician with Big Mouth Talent. Recent credits include Edmund in King Lear and Tybalt in Farewell My Friend, a new interactive adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. He also performs his own original score in touring performances of Chicago Children’s Theatre’s A Snowy Day with Beatrix Potter and Friends. Born and raised in Swarthmore, PA, Ray graduated from Northwestern University and has worked or trained with Heidi Stillman, Frank Maugeri, Sean Bradley, and Mary Poole, among others. He is launching a new home on the web in 2017 at rayrehberg.com, and on social media – @heyrayreh. He is grateful for the opportunity to help bring this world to life!

In his spare time, Ray enjoys wrenching on project cars and motorcycles (and driving them on the rare occasions when they’re functional), snowboarding, and other dangerous activities that scare his mom. He hosts bar trivia, makes guest appearances on sports podcasts and video game livestreams, and generally does anything that makes people listen to him ramble on about something. Upcoming projects include the release of his short adventure documentary, The $1000 Route 66 Challenge, where Ray and rally driver Chris Nonack buy a 1977 Ford Maverick on craigslist in Los Angeles and try to make it back to Chicago via Historic Route 66.

Seventh Star Studios Announces Sól Geirsdóttir for Rayden Valkyrie Role in TV Pilot

Seventh Star Studios is proud to announce the casting of Sól Geirsdóttir to bring the heroic Rayden Valkyrie character to life onscreen in the TV pilot Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart.

 

Sól will star as Rayden Valkyrie, an iconic warrior in a dark age who leads a mercenary war band to rescue a group of captives destined for slave markets. When some of the surviving raiders take a pair of female captives with them, seeking escape into an ancient forest said to harbor deadly perils, Rayden does not hesitate to pursue them. In the shadows of the forest, Rayden and her companions must overcome monstrous threats and deadly sorcery to prevail.

“Sól Geirsdóttir is our Rayden,” Director/Screenwriter Stephen Zimmer said. “During our extensive search, we have seen many very talented actresses, but Sól conveyed the right kind of presence needed for this pivotal character. Sól has a passion for the genre, for history, and loves a good sword fight. I know that Sól is dedicated to bringing the best performance possible to the screen, and I am absolutely confident that audiences are going to love Sól and the Rayden Valkyrie character when they see this show. More about Sól Geirsdóttir: Sól Geirsdóttir made her stage debut at the age of 13, performing traditional norwegian folk songs. Since then she has been creating and producing music with her band Vǫluspá, who will be releasing a full album in 2017. Sól has also appeared in several theatrical plays and was given a part as “Jora” in the TV pilot ‘Rangers: A Shadow Rising’ in 2014. She has worked with Ron Newcomb, Ian Hencher, John Wells, Marita Tathariel and many more.

Sól is an alternative model and has been featured in several magazines such as Fae Magazine and Dark Beauty. She currently attends the University of Oslo pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. In addition to this, she is a trained vocalist, an accomplished belly dancer and a seemstress specialized in Viking Era clothing. Sól is thrilled to embark on the epic journey of playing the role of “Rayden Valkyrie” in the Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart TV Pilot.
